Score : Reading 1 Arsenal 3
Arsenal began the match brightly and they could have gone ahead in the 3rd minute of the game when Fabergas passed a great ball to Adebayor who then left the Reading defense standing, drew their keeper out and placed a cracking shot at goal only to see it hit the right hand post. Reading soon bounced back into the game and found their own rhythm. As the game continued Arsenal slowly built up pressure even thought the Home side pulled nine men behind the ball trying to pull the visitors forward in order to set up a counter attack. This approach did pay some dividends when after 30 minutes Readings Gunnarsson hit a sweet shot from 25 yards out, only for Keeper Almunia to beat it out from goal. After 37 minutes Fabregas earned himself a free kick in the center of the pitch just outside of the penalty box. The dead ball was passed to defender Toure who smashed his shot terribly wide. Arsenal took the lead shortly before half time with Flamini finishing off some quick crisp passing from Rosicky and Adebayor, releasing Helb to pull the ball back into the six yard box where Flamini got ahead of his marker to finish.
In the second half Arsenal turned up the heat and after doing most of the attacking you would of thought that they were the home team, with both Adebayor and Flamini coming close. Adebayor finally ended his run of 8 games without scoring after Fabregas laid the ball off for the striker to place the ball in the bottom right hand corner. Adebayor once again put the ball in the net only for it to be ruled off side. The match started to open up a bit in midfield freeing Helb to attack, which he did splendidly in a close range effort. Reading did manage a consolation goal with England full back Shorey drilling home after chaotic defending from the visitors.

Score Arsenal 2 Manchester United 2
First Half Run Down -
This was an early kick off for both teams, and the atmosphere inside the stadium was electric. Arsenal did seem to have a lot of early possession of the ball but they never really tested Manchester United goalkeeper, Edwin Van de Sar. Alexander Helb made a great run down the right line on the counter attack, but ~Anderson put a stop to him only six yards from the edge of the penalty area. Giggs tried his luck in the 23rd minute of the game, but his efforts turned out to be fruitless as his shot went right over the bar. Manchester United opened the scoring in stoppage time in the first half of play, when Ronaldo passed a low cross to Wayne Rooney at the near post, and although Rooney missed the target his shot deflected off |Gallas and straight into the back of the net.
Second Half Run Down -
Arsenal came out fighting in the second half and within only three minutes of the game starting Adebayor had timed his run perfectly but failed to find the target, the loose ball was picked up by Sagna who then passed it to the young Spanaird Fabregas, who just could not miss from only 12 yards out and he stuck the ball into the back of the net, giving Arsenal the equalizer with Manchester united, making the score 1-1. Manchester United then took the lead once more when Ronaldo scored a cracking goal after substitute Louis Saha Fed Evra passed him a great back ball. Arsenal fans thought it was all over, but as we all know it’s never over until the final whistle blows and Arsenal proved that today when they scored their second goal in stoppage time, forcing the equaliser with Manchester United, making the final score 2-2.
