Love them or hate them Leeds have had a phenomenal season reaching the playoffs despite having 15 points deducted at the start of the campaign for financial irregularities.

The Elland Road side know that bouncing straight back is an imperative. They’ve seen from the experiences of other big clubs such as Nottingham Forest that a failure to gain promotion sooner rather than later can lead to being bogged down in English footballs third tier.

While Leeds are fallen giants Doncaster is a club on the rise. They have gone from being minnows of League two to potentially just one division away from the Premiership. Under the guidance of owner John Ryan the club have built a new stadium and are financially secure.

The game itself is likely to be a tight affair after both games between the sides this season have ended one-nil to the away side. Doncaster will be keen to stop Niel Kilkenny taking hold of the game in Midfield and will have to shut down Leeds top-scorer Jermaine Beckford if they are to win this.

Doncaster had a steady campaign and swept into the final with a five-one win over Southend. The key men for them will be player of the year Richie Wellens and James Coppinger who scored a hat-trick in that semi-final win. If these two are allowed to express themselves Leeds could be in trouble.
