Although it was alleged that Bethel’s conduct was racist, the charge was not proved, and he was subsequently cleared of the charge. Naturally, this is much to the delight of Chelsea, who has also denied that Bethell was guilty of any racial discrimination and abuse.
In any case, alleging racism is indeed one of the most serious accusations that anyone can make, and given the serious stance that FA takes towards such allegations, most clubs are careful not to walk that path at all. Many clubs have zero tolerance for racism and appear to work hard to focus on skill and not colour.
The Red Devils are naturally not too pleased about the decision, and has hinted that they may appeal against the FA decision. It does appear that the ban was excessive and biased towards Chelsea.
What this means for both Bethell and Manchester United is that he will miss two Premier Leauge fixtures on December 26 and December 29 at Stoke and Middlesbrough, the third round of the FA Cup at Southhampton on January 4 and the first leg of United’s league Cup’s semi finals.
Until Manchester United makes an appeal against FA’s decision, Bethell will be having a long break for the Christmas and New Year.

Australian Soccer has undergone somewhat of resurgence since the introduction of the A-League last year and to many the prospect of hosting the biggest sporting event in the world is a very tasty one indeed.

Although hugely experienced, we are talking about 300 times on the PGA tour, he has not won before. Regardless, he gave a superb show and build up a huge lead that even with a double bogey on the final hole, he was still ahead by eight shots at the Nicklaus Tournament course at PGA West.
Another notable player was Notah Begay, who is a four time PGA Tour winner, was only one of the two that qualified for the TPC Stadium course in the final round. Begay barely made it, and even with three straight birdies for a 67, he only made it by one shot.
The other one that survived was Wil Collins who made it to the final stage for his very first time, out of the seven attempts before. No short of finesse, he had a difficult shot with 217 yards to go with mud on his ball. His par butt made it just enough to catch the side of the hole and curl in, giving him the passport to move on.
Another new comer who made it to the tour is James Oh, who made it with only two shots to spare.
Regardless, the upcoming tour will be an interesting one to watch out for, and with many new comers making it, it will be interesting to say the least if anyone of them could upset the more seasoned players.

The upcoming match against Portsmouth should see the return of striker Peter Crouch. The towering forward, in good form since joining Pompey, will be determined to show the crowd what they have been missing.
However, Liverpool have been a tough nut to crack at Anfield this season, and will be hoping to continue that with a repeat of the 4-1 scoreline that saw them pick up the three points in the same fixture last season.
What is different this time around is that Tony Adams and Joe Jordan are likely to take charge of Portsmouth after Harry Redknapp’s surprise move to Tottenham over the weekend.

Manchester United travelled to inform Tottenham desperate for a win to hopefully catch up with the leaders but was left frustrated with chances going astray at both ends in their boring 0-0 draw in North London.
Arsenal completed an unlikely four timer after drawing at Middlesbrough, Adebayor giving the Gunners the lead only for old boy Alliadiere to haunt his old employers and get the deserved equaliser in the 1-1 draw at the Riverside.
Aston villa were the only side in the top 5 to win after they beat manager of the month Gary Megson’s Bolton 4-2 at home lifting them up to 4th place in the league.The two sides at the bottom both looked like sure bets to go down after they both had miserable afternoons, West Brom were thumped 4-0 away at Sunderland and Blackburn were hammered 3-0 away at Wigan.

Well within a year and after a couple of uninspiring displays against Boxers that were unheard of from anyone outside the gym in which they trained Audley Harrison’s career hit rock bottom after suffering a points defeat to an Irish novice taxi driver going by the name of Martin Rogan.Audley never hit the much smaller Boxer with anything during the whole fight and Belfast Cabbie was more than a match for Audley and fully deserved his tight point’s decision. And surely this is time for Audley to finally do the thing he should have done a few years back and to hang up them gloves you aren’t good enough.

Cousins appears to be back to top fitness but his lack of game time and the obvious abuse he has subjected his body will be a telling factor in whether or not he can make a successful return to competitive football.
Although other clubs have showed sign of interest, St. Kilda remain at $1.40 (at Sportingbet) to put in their quiver the ‘super star’ arrow they have been missing.
Ex St. Kilda coach Grant Thomas warned against the move claiming that cousins would provide too much of a distraction for the players who would more than likely opt not too be seen with him for fear of too much public scrutiny.
