Williamhill.com Whats New

  • February 26th, 2009

For me, the number one bookmakers in the UK is Williamhill.com and this is where I place any bets I might place when I’m out and about, is the website as good as the bookmakers we see in the street, I think so. Now Williamhill.com is fantastic for uploading new and exciting offers and promotions onto the website and right now is no different. At the minute on the website we have 5 main things that they are promoting.

BET NOW

First of all we have “betlive”, Betlive is the same as in-play betting which means you can bet on live events, for example different bets and odds will appear throughout the whole event, whether it be horse racing, football, cricket…anything. Next up we have “Live Scores- view now” this does exactly what it says, if you want to view any live scores that are currently going on, you simply click on this link. Third on the list is “3D instant roulette” with a “play now” link on it. This is taken from the casino section of the website, which is understandably one of the most popular areas of the site, Roulette is a good game to promote because you don’t need any skill or theories to play, it is a simple game of luck and very appealing to new members as well as current ones.

Next up we have a FANTASTIC offer, and that is a £250 poker bonus, it doesn’t tell you how you get this £250 but that is half of the battle because this will entice the members to click the link and this is how they get members to sign up and spend money. Finally we have virtual racing, this is a life like virtual game that is available to play all day, it’s like the real life thing expect you don’t have to wait around all day waiting for a specific race because when it isn’t real, they are a lot more frequent. Ladbrooks.com

  • February 23rd, 2009

On the high street www.ladbrooks.com is one of, if not the most popular bookmakers in the UK. Does their website follow suit? Well have a look for yourself, that’s what I did and I was impressed. On the top of the website we have 8 tabs that link to different areas of the site. First up we have sports betting, which obviously where you go to place some money on a bet relating to a specific sport.

PLAY NOW

The next tab is Poker, this has it’s own tab mainly because over the last 5 years or so it has grown to be absolutely HUGE among online gamers and is highly addictive, no website would be complete without it. Next we have the Casino tab, this includes all your other casino favourites such as blackjack and roulette amongst others. Half way across the tabs we have Games, games in here are for people who genuinely would just like to have a bit of fun and play for free for fake money, or for the gamblers out there you can also play on the games and play with a stake to try and build up your account balance. Next up we have Bingo, what a phenomenon this has become over the last 2/3 years, if you search for Online Bingo in a search engine, they will return with countless different sites to play bingo. Next we have Financial Bets which has ever changing odds on specific bets, if you click on it you have a better of idea of what I mean. Then we have Lotto’s which is self explanatory really and finally, one that actually surprised me and that was Backgammon! www.ladbrooks.com

Bet365.uk – UEFA Champions League

  • February 20th, 2009

Bet365.uk – The UEFA Champions league, a competition that is known as the greatest cup competition contested from league clubs. It is made up of teams from all across Europe’s top leagues (And some not so good) and gives the opportunity for some of the world’s top teams to play each other.

BET NOW

The current name/format were not introduced to the competition until 1992, despite originally running from 1955 under the name of The European Cup. At the start of the season the valid teams are given a seed and are automatically put into the main draw, but other teams have to go through a qualifying period to see if they will also be in the competition. Once all teams are in the main draw they are drawn into 8 groups of 4 teams where they will play each other twice, both home and away and then the top two teams from every group go through to the last 16.

These teams are then drawn into 8 fixtures where they will again play both home and away with the overall winners of each tie progressing through to the ¼ finals, the same procedure then continues right through to the final where there will only be one match and will be played a neutral venue at one of Europe’s top football stadiums. 21 different teams have won the competition since its launch in 1955 and 12 of those teams have won it on more than one occasion, Real Madrid being the most successful team winning the prestigious trophy no less than 9 times!. Ladbrooks.co.uk – English Cricket

  • February 17th, 2009

www.ladbrooks.co.uk – With English Cricket as a whole taking a hammering both on and off the field in the last month or so it is now time for the team to unite under new captain Andrew Strauss (who last year was touted as being dropped from the side due to poor form) and start showing the potential they showed before the disastrous year of 2008.

BET NOW

Last year we had it all, 1st we got beat at home in the test series by a much improved South African team in which Michael Vaughan decided enough was enough and resigned as skipper, then we had South African Kevin Pieterson handed the job and he straight away white washed the country of his birth in the one day series lifting the whole of English Cricket from top to bottom, then it was time for that disastrous tour of India in which they managed to get beat in both test and one day games but had to come home in between the test series due to the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, and to top it off we had the much publicised fall out between Pieterson and Coach David Moores which led to both of them losing their jobs and the third captain in a year in Strauss.

Since the side left for their tour of the West Indies the signs are starting to look good after the good form of the team in their 1st warm up game and the employment of Pakistan legend Mushtaq Ahmed as new spin bowling coach things can only get better.
Ladbrokes already have a book open on the four match test series in the West Indies and due to the home side having a much weaker side nowadays and England once again looking like something like a Test side I can see England coming home victorious with a 2-0 score which is being quoted at around the 9/1 mark at Ladbrokes. www.ladbrookes.co.uk

Ladbrooks.com – Premiership Tips

  • February 16th, 2009

Ladbrooks.com – With the bread and butter of the league back on the agenda this weekend it is now do or die for a couple of teams if they are to realistically challenge for the title this season.

BET NOW

The 1st team that has to win in my opinion is Arsenal, and they entertain West Ham in which could be an explosive London Derby at the emirates, with West Ham now under Gianfranco Zola playing some nice stuff this will be no easy game for Arsenal but considering they are at home I think they will just nick it 1-0 or 2-1.

Another side that needs to win is Chelsea, and they make the daunting trip to Anfield on Sunday to face a Liverpool side that knows if they can gain three points the title race could possibly be left to a two horse race between them and Manchester United but with so much at stake I have a feeling this will be a defenders day and finish goalless.

Another big game this weekend takes place at St James Park with Newcastle facing their arch enemies Sunderland. For me this is a game that suits the away side down to the ground and if they can keep Newcastle quiet for the 1st 20 minutes and get an already hostile crowd on the backs of the home team I can see a comfortable 2-0 win at least for Sunderland.

Other Bankers for me this weekend are Aston Villa, Fulham, Hull City and Middlesbrough and Blackburn Rovers to draw. Ladbrooks.com

www.paddypower.ie – Formula 1 and its Troubles

  • February 5th, 2009

www.paddypower.ie – After the demise of Aguri Honda last year the signs were set in place that the once great sport of Formula 1 Motor racing was in trouble, and now that doubt has now been set in stone after Honda pulled out of this year’s championship and now with the news that both Toyota and Renault are really struggling is this the beginning of the end of a sport that has been around for decades.

PLAY NOW

With so many new rules being implemented this season a lot of teams have found it very hard to adjust their cars to come into line with the new rules and when you consider so many of the teams are controlled from the UK (who is at the start of an economical melt down) it is very hard to see the sport being able to carry on in the next five to ten years.

It is not just the teams that have had to dig deep though because the governing body the FIA have upped the driving super license fee that drivers have to renew yearly and in Lewis Hamilton’s case it could cost in the region of 200,000 GBP according to various sources. With this hike in the price this year many drivers have threatened to boycott races this year in protest so if something is not agreed very soon between the authorities in charge and the drivers I can see this season’s championship becoming a farce due to the fact teams have already dropped out and the drivers are not happy with what they are being charged.
