I have just logged into my www.ladbrooks.com account online to see if, by any chance, I have any ‘forgotten’ funds in there. No joy. But then I notice a small advertisement to the right of the screen proudly announcing “Ladbrokes TV – You can now watch live sport online!”
Although I’m happy with all the other websites offering this feature (and have been doing so for a long time now), I take a look to see if I can find any live televised events taking place while I’m there. There’s nothing happening, and I can’t seem to find any list of scheduled televised events.
However, I discovered that if I click on the “Bet in play” link in the left hand column, a full schedule appears in the right hand column with little camera icons next to those events that are due to be televised. The only problem is; when do these events start? There is no start times listed, even if you click on the event to view the full market.
But then I realise that the start time is shown at the top of the page in the yellow heading. I thought this was a clock!!! I hope it isn’t a clock, because if it is I should be at work!
Okay, so you might be thinking this is merely ‘nit-picking’ and I should know myself when these events start, but for the casual punter wanting to do a bit of recreational betting, it’s no help.
Other websites offering live TV do a much better job in advertising their live streams and listing their schedules. Maybe it’s just that ladbrooks.com have only just got around to showing live TV that they haven’t finished the job yet of adding the important details. And do they offer these live events in their shops? If they do I might be better off watching them there.
