Ballesteros was born in Pedrena, Cantabria, Spain in 1957. The highly decorated golfer who finally hung up his clubs in July when he retired from the game in which he dominated in his prime has said himself that this battle is going to be his biggest and hardest challenge so far in his life and I am sure if anybody can pull through this then it is Seve. The one danger to his condition is how aggressive the tumour is, but fingers crossed it is one of the less damaging and aggressive ones and Seve will be back on his feet in no time sharing that wonderful Spanish smile with us again.

Arsenal host Hull City in the first of this week’s sure bets but they will start the game long odds on but they will be a cert for anybody’s accumulator.

But I worry that when these super rich people decide they don’t want to play anymore and bow out of their clubs who will be left to pick up the astronomical wages that these players are now commanding at the mega rich clubs? And where will they end up in say 10 or 20 years just look at Leeds as a prime example: Champions League to League 1 in six years and a 15 point deficit to make up after being fined and reprimanded by the FA that’s where and that is my rant over.
